About John W. Stevenson
John W. Stevenson is passionate about the Body of Christ. His desire to see people grow in Christ’s character and partner with Holy Spirit gave rise to his mantra: Kingdom influence, Kingdom impact with Kingdom results. This Kingdom vision guides his ministry and community leadership.

John is married to the lovely Marissa Stevenson. John and Marissa are the parents of four sons, one daughter, three daughters in love and the grandparents of 12 grandchildren. John’s family is his legacy. As a nuclear family, they co-founded Heirs Family Worship Center in 1997 - a local church now known as Heirs Covenant Church.
Today, John is the CEO of THE EMBASSY, a 144,000 sq. ft. facility best described as A Regional Center for Kingdom Transformation. The Embassy is home to Heirs Covenant Church where John serves as apostle and senior pastor, Genesis Life and Recovery for men overcoming addiction, and other Kingdom-minded entities located in Hamilton, Ohio.
John also serves the Church through his music gifting as a songwriter, recording artist, worship leader and musician. As a music producer, John has recorded over 15 projects. In 2002, John launched Heirs Media Group where he is President and CEO of the company that released Pure Worship featuring William McDowell,” and re-distributed Nation Of Praise featuring the Christ Emmanuel Christian Fellowship Choir.
John is a contributing song writer on Stellar Award’s Traditional Choir of the Year Bishop Paul Morton & The Full Gospel Baptist Church Choir’s Embracing the Next Dimension (2009) and the Praise and Worship Album of the Year, Champion: Live by Darwin Hobbs (2011). and Bishop Paul S. Morton presents The Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship Embracing The Next Dimension. Other artists who have records John’s music include Bishop Joseph L. Garlington, David and Nicole Binion, Lenny LeBlanc for Integrity Music, JJ Hairston, and Calvin Nowell. His songs, such as "Arise O God", "You Are Holy", "Under the Shadow", and "Jehovah Reigns" among others can be heard in churches and at conferences worldwide.
John has traveled the world equipping the Body of Christ as a prophet, teacher and evangelist. After founding Heirs International Ministries (H.I.M.), John has encouraged believers in Ethiopia, Kenya, South Africa, England, Russia, Barbados, Curacao and Singapore. H.I.M. has extended its reach through relationships with Reconciliation! International (Bishop Joseph L. Garlington, also John’s pastor), International Worship Institute, the Caribbean Worship Institute, Ambassador Ministries (the late Pastor Moses Vegh), as well as Oops Asia, a ministry inspiring and impacting Asia through music with a focus on promoting independent artists.
John provided leadership on the Board of Presence Ministries - a worship resource ministry, alongside Glenn Rochelle, Ed Chinn, Steve Fry, Glenn Roachelle and Founder Howard Rachinski.
John’s pastoral influence extends into the marketplace. In 2002, along with Ford Taylor, he co-founded Transformation Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky, a ministry that focuses on city transformation. Together they mobilized over 100 Christian leaders from various sectors around the region to participate in prayer, worship and community initiatives to promote unity between ministry and marketplace leaders who would collaborate for kingdom impact.
John partners with leaders to shape strategies for workplace, city and nation transformation. Most recently, John consulted with key stakeholders to identify barriers that kept leaders from addressing their constituencies’ needs. As a result a neighboring city sought out similar support to make their community a better place to live. Through John’s facilitation of relationship building and leadership development, those City’s leaders have affirmed a committed and set of practices to move forward in productive ways.

John shares the wisdom of over 40 years of ministry experience in his four books, including “Worshiper by Design: A Unique Look at Why We Were Created” and Amazon Bestseller “Same Faith, Same God: Living in The Realm of Ridiculous Faith” which describes his personal journey of faith in God and how his pursuit of God’s glory impacted his family and the lives of countless others.
